How does YWAM Hong Kong work? In the early years YWAM Hong Kong was located in a central location on the renowned Hong Kong island. All ministries, outreaches, schools and community development programs operated out of this single location.

In the early 90's we lost the prime location that we once used for free. At that point, ministries targeting the urban crowd relocated to urban areas, while those more involved in training and discipleship moved into semi-rural locations.

Now, YWAM Hong Kong has 1 main, and 3 satellite, operating locations. SWCK is located on Hong Kong Island, InnerCity is in the heart of the tourist and minority community in Kowloon, SSI is based in a residential area, and we (here at the Main Base and National Office) are located in an 800 year old village. Other than the satellite ministries, all YWAM training programs, such as the DTS and SOFM, are conducted here at the Training Base.
