Testimonies

After our program at Landmark North Shopping Mall, I met a man who liked our program and had many questions about Christianity. I had a translator to help me and he did a good job answering questions. We gave him a Bible and encouraged him to search for a suitable church for him. He wasn't ready to accept Jesus, nor willing to pray with us, but he wanted to get more information about Jesus and we exchanged our contact information.

After our outreach I started talking to the woman sitting next to me on the bus. We talked about us, an international dance and drama team. She wanted to know how she could get involved in that. So I asked her if she was a Christian, and she said, "Not yet. " Then she explained how her Christian friend wants to take her to church, etc, but she couldn't go. She wanted to know how I know that Jesus is real, because she doesn't always feel Him. So I shared a short testimony and she was really touched. We talked about how to know Jesus and questions she had and the time went by. We only had maybe 30 more seconds when she said she wanted to pray now to accept Jesus, so she followed my very short and simple prayer and asked Jesus into her heart. At the "Amen", the bus stopped, and she excitedly said "Thank you" and left. Praise God for such a quick divine appointment!!!

I started doing the Gospel puzzle with several children and after a while a boy of about 4 came to do it with me. I got a translator to come and chat for me. We built the puzzle and I slowly began to tell the story of Jesus to him. From there the translator basically took over and after her long chat to the little boy she turned to me and said, " He has just accepted Jesus - God is awesome. " The little boy's mom soon arrived and we got chatting with her again. Once again the translator took over and it ended with her telling me, " God is an awesome God!"
    Tamsin - South Africa

In intercession time I got a picture of a red jacket. When Godwin was preaching at the end of the outreach, I saw a lady with a red jacket. When he asked who prayed to accept Jesus, she raised her hand!
We talked to her after (me and Anna B and Josie the translator). She said she had prayed to Jesus for the first time. We gave her a Bible and explained what was in the Bible.
    Rachel - USA

We were in the Sun Yuen Long Shopping Mall today and after our performance we were doing some ministry. I started talking to this old man through a translator. He didn't seem very interested at first, but then I asked him what he thought would happen when he died. He said he hadn't thought about it. So that led into a good conversation about the Gospel. And then I asked him if he wanted to accept Jesus. And he said, " If Jesus is good, I want Him." So we got to lead him to the Lord!
